Intended Use :
It is used in flour mills. During the grinding processes, it is used to break down the semolina and to separate semolina and flour particles that stick together and form flakes under the pressure applied in the smooth rollers (liso rollers). It also facilitates the sieving process, improving the efficiency of the sieves. Since it is sometimes used in place of rollers in some passages during the grinding process, it reduces the load on the rollers and contributes to increased capacity. As a result of all these positive effects, it ensures that flour is produced with a higher yield. It may cause a slight increase in the ash content of the flour. However, this is a negligible issue compared to its positive effects. It is also known to have a larvicide effect, preventing potential insect infestations in the flour.
